CYP hospital is a specialist healthcare environment designed to support the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults. This required robust construction standards alongside carefully considered acoustic and performance requirements.
Middlesex was appointed to deliver firestopping works across nine floors, installing passive fire and acoustic stopping to all compartmentation lines, including walls, floors, risers and service penetrations. Fire sealing was carried out around all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and hydraulic services using approved, tested systems to achieve the required fire resistance and acoustic performance.
In keeping with Middlesex’s quality and safety focus, installations complied with all relevant standards, approved details, and manufacturer’s instructions.
The collective strength of the Middlesex Group was leveraged in this project, with Drylining, Carpentry and Tiling divisions also in the scope of work, delivering the scale of a major subcontractor with the attention to detail of a specialist.
